CvergenX, Inc. Partners with National Cancer Institute to Develop New Test to Predict Radiation Therapy Success

A molecular signature index technology that can lead to better radiation therapy decisions for patients with cancer is being developed into a reliable radiosensitivity test by CvergenX, Inc., an advanced cancer diagnostics company. It is being done in conjunction with the National Cancer Institute’s Clinical Assay Development Program (CADP).

One Mind for Research announced recently that Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) has pledged $3.5 million in support of One Mind’s “Gemini Program,” contingent upon One Mind securing additional funding. “The Gemini Program” is a multi-year study of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Post-Traumatic Stress (PTS).


SensiDerm™ Animal Replacement Assays Selected By Cosmetics Europe

As of 13th March 2013, a ban was introduced in the European Union (EU) on animal testing of ingredients for cosmetics. The ban applies to all new cosmetics and their ingredients sold in the EU, regardless of where in the world testing on animals was carried out. Cosmetics Europe (formerly COLIPA), the European trade association for the cosmetic, toiletry and perfumery industry, is looking to introduce novel in-vitro assays for testing key sensitizers/allergens as a replacement for animal testing in cosmetics.
